Mobile crypto exchange
Mapping a mobile exchange before polishing it
A neon-lime mobile exchange — onboarding, KYC, markets, buy/sell, wallet — shown here the way the work actually happened: as a full-app flow map and a missing-screens audit, the product-ops layer under the UI.

Overview
BitPlus is a mobile exchange with the full expected anatomy: onboarding, sign-up and KYC, market lists, buy/sell details, wallet actions and account settings — in an unmissable lime-on-dark identity.
What this case shows on purpose is the layer portfolios usually hide: the connected flow map of the whole app, and the audit board where missing screens and broken user paths are hunted down before polish.
Scope
- Full-app flow mapping
- Missing-screens gap audit
- KYC & auth flow structure
- Buy/sell & wallet flows
The challenge
Exchange apps fail in the seams — the not-logged-in path, the not-KYC'd path, the screen someone forgot. The job here was making those seams visible: map every flow, mark every gap, annotate every open question before calling the design done.
My role
Flow architecture and screen-inventory audit across the app — the boards shown are working process artifacts, presented as such.
Product decisions
2 that shaped the productMap the entire app as one connected flow before finishing any screen.
WhyIndividual screens can look done while the product between them is broken.
ImpactA nine-section flow map — onboarding through wallet and settings — where every arrow is a claim that a path exists.
Run an explicit missing-screens audit with named user states.
Why'Not logged', 'not KYC'd' and third-party handoffs (payment iframes) are where users actually get lost.
ImpactAn annotated audit board tracking missing screens and unresolved integration questions — visible debt instead of surprise debt.
Information architecture
The full-app flow map
Nine sections — onboarding, sign-up & KYC, sign-in, home, market, buy/sell, orders, wallet, account — connected as one navigable map of the product.
Process artifact
The missing-screens audit
The working board, annotations included: missing screens marked in lime, non-KYC and not-logged-in paths traced, third-party iframe questions flagged. This is what product diligence looks like mid-flight.
// Shown deliberately as an in-progress process artifact — gap-hunting is the work.
Outcome
verified, qualitative where honest- 01
A complete flow inventory for a full-anatomy exchange app, with gaps made explicit instead of discovered in QA.
- 02
The same atlas-and-audit method that anchors the ePOINT work, applied to a second product.
